    Best seafood

I wholeheartedly recommend you buy your seafood from True North. They go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. One of the items I ordered was not in stock by the time they picked my order, so the owner called me to offer a replacement. The replacement was a more expensive and better cut than the original, but I did not have to pay the difference. They have overnight delivery, seafood comes in an insulated box, and when you open it, the smell of fresh seafood is making you hungry. We always order the oysters, scallops, halibut, salmon, and haddock… we love everything. All my friends are hooked and I hope so will you. Try it! Not many opportunities to get fresh seafood in Toronto.

Fast, Frozen Solid, Competitively Priced and pretty darn tasty.

I have never though of myself as a seafood lover but now I'm thinking hmm.....maybe I could be after all. I am a first time buyer but if you keep this kinda service up you will be hearing from me on a regular basis.

    Delicious fish, inferior vacuum packaging

The product itself was outstanding however all three halibut fletches were not vacuum sealed when they arrived. As I have experience shipping fish from BC I was disappointed that the vacuum seal lost its integrity if it indeed had sealed in the first case.

As for the rest of the packaging the styrafoam box was well sealed and packed with sufficient ice bags to keep the product frozen. The product arrived from Dartmouth NS to Ottawa in less than 24 hours. That was impressive.

This product would have got 5 stars had the halibut arrived vacuum sealed as advertised.

Good, Not so good and Nasty

I guess this is 'be carful what you ask for'. Shipping, packing and delivery are excellent. The Haddock is superb, the Halibut fletches are fine. However, they are expensive and there is little to choose between them and the Haddock. The difference is negligible but the cost difference is ridiculous. The Sea Bass was a great hit with my Greek wife, although they are pretty expensive as well. It's understandable because of the distance they have to travel. The Maui Maui was (is) absolutely horrible this time. The first time we ordered it was good. This time brutal. Never again. Why the huge difference is troubling. Where is the quality control? AND, after a three week wait for you to get it in stock. You need to go back to the previous supplier because that crap is not doing your business any favours. Now, aren't you glad you asked? I hate giving negative feedback but if you don't hear from comsumers, you can't correct the problem. :-)
